How to dither an image
Upload, drop, or paste an image to start. Choose ordered Bayer dithering for a regular pixel pattern, Floyd–Steinberg or Atkinson for error diffusion, or stochastic noise for a scattered texture. Adjust the pattern scale, color palette, brightness, and contrast in Effects.
Add a directional or radial fade, or fade to transparency for a PNG. Open Animate to turn a still image into a looping GIF with dither flow, breathing fade, light pulse, or moving grain. Set its duration and frame rate, then export.
Ditherlab is free and needs no account. Image processing stays in your browser; your images are never sent to a server. PNG, JPEG, WebP, and AVIF support depends on your browser. Imported GIFs use their first frame; GIF exports use a solid background for transparent areas.
